Belgrano is one of the neighborhoods and residential district of Buenos Aires. It has large numbers of old and important palatial mansions, most typical of the late nineteenth century. As a counterpoint, in this neighborhood had been built modern, sophisticated, comfortable and in some cases, spectacular apartment buildings. Belgrano is a neighborhood full of culture, tradition and history, and walking through its streets can see monuments, museums, libraries and magnificent places. Simply knowing that was designed by Carlos Thays, the French architect hired by Domingo Faustino Sarmiento, responsible for many of the most beautiful parks in the country.
